aikido

# Aikido decides life and death in a single strike, so students must carefully follow the instructor's teaching and not compete to see who is the strongest. Aikido is the way that teaches how one can deal with several enemies. Students must train themselves to be alert not just to the front but to all sides and the back.
Training should always be conducted in a pleasant and joyful atmosphere. The instructor teaches only one small aspect of the art. Its versatile applications must be discovered by each student through incessant practice and training. In daily practice first begin by moving your body and then progress to more intensive practice. Never force anything unnaturally or unreasonably. If this rule is followed, then even elderly people will not hurt themselves and they can train in a pleasant and joyful atmosphere. The purpose of Aikido is to train mind and body and to produce sincere, earnest people. Since all the techniques are to be transmitted person-to-person, do not randomly reveal them to others, for this might lead to their being used by hoodlums.

Lamon Brewster

"Luan is a good fighter who landed many good shots against me," said WBO heavyweight champion Lamon Brewster after successfully defending his title by ninth round TKO against mandatory challenger Luan Krasniqi in Hamburg, Germany. "I want to be thee world champion, not just a United States champion and I proved it tonight by coming to Germany and defeating a game challenger. I always fight from will, not always from skill. I want to give applause to Hamburg and the German people for being so wonderful to me during my visit. I will never forget my time here." Brewster's promoter Don King echoed his champion's sentiments. "Luan used his jab and his right but this champion doesn't quit," King said. "Lamon Brewster is a true world champion now that he came to Germany and won here."

cka...

My name is Steve Wilson Jr. and I am the Chief Instructor of the Christian Karate Association. I have been studying karate for about 15 years and have achieved a forth degree black belt. I have taught for 8 years. I started teaching in my back yard with the local neighbors and teens from the church. We then used a facility in a local church in Cheney, Washington. Two years later, the Lord called us to expand our organization and move into a commercial setting where we fully developed the curriculum. While we were there, we grew from 4 students to around 85 students in four months. During that time we had 15-20 actively involved in a weekly bible study. The Lord then called us to move to our current location, in Post Falls, ID, to establish our National Headquarters and to expand our organization.
During the last 5 years the Lord has given me a vision of what He fully intends to do with the Christian Karate Association. I plan to expand the program nationally where there will be Christian Karate Association schools through out the United States. All of these schools will have state-of-the art facilities, great karate programs, excellent teachers, and dynamic outreach programs to reach people for Christ.

taekwondo

Stretching is very important. It allows people to have a larger freedom of movement. Do all them slowly so you will not pull a muscle, and also just in case you are not at that physical level yet.
SIDE-STRETCH:
# Spread you feet apart to your sides slowly, until you can feel it. Your toes should be facing forward.
# You can stand for 30 seconds with your hands on your hips.
# You can bend down and touch your hands to the floor.
# You can bend down and move your hands to the left side.
# You can bend down and move your hands to the right side.
TOUCH YOUR TOES:
# Put your feet together, with them both facing forward. Without bending your knees, bend down and reach for your toes.
# If you can touch your toes then your goal should be to put your palms on the floor.

Gejon

As his bosom buddy, Oriental boxing champion Rodel Mayol of the Philippines would like to wish compatriot and world minimumweight title challenger Eriberto 'Yukka' Gejon more power. And the 24-year-old Mayol means that literally. According to Mayol, current Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) 105-lb champion, Gejon needs to redouble the degree of his punches for him to get a much better chance of becoming a world champion this weekend. Sunday night in Yokohama, Japan, the 26-year-old Gejon battles reigning World Boxing Association (WBA) minimumweight ruler Yutaka Niida in a 12-round championship match.

Muay Thai

translated into English as Thai Boxing, is the national sport of Thailand and is a martial art with origins in the ancient battlefield tactics of the Siamese (or Thai) army. It evolved from Krabi-Krabong, literally sword and baton, the hand-to-hand tactics of the Thai army. The early Muay Thai bouts pitted different companies within the Siamese army against each other with few rules and no weight divisions or time limits. They became quite popular and eventually were shown in stadium across the country. In the early 20th century, time limits, boxing gloves as well as a uniform set of rules were introduced. During the latter half of the 20th century Muay Thai was exported to many countries and is now practiced by hundreds of thousands of people all over the world.

CKA

The Christian Karate Association began in 1995. The purpose was to create a unique approach for witnessing to non-believers and strengthening believers. The popularity of karate is used to attract people and then present the gospel of Christ. For believers, a curriculum was created to help continue their growth in the Lord.
The goal of the Christian Karate Association is to lead many people to the Lord Jesus, and to continue their growth as Christians. This is accomplished through many different avenues such as: Bible reading and memorization for each karate belt test, the learning of different Christian Character Qualities, fellowship with other believers and discipleship from Christian Leaders in the school.

Moorer

The latest buzz in boxing has former heavyweight (and light heavyweight) world champion Michael 'Double M' Moorer (47-4-1; 37 KO's) making a possible return to the ring sometime in October. Last month, the 37 year old Moorer was the guest host on FNF, where at the beginning of the broadcast, he announced his intention to fight again. About 40 minutes later, fight analyst (and former trainer of Moorer) Teddy Atlas suggested that he retire from the ring. Without hesitation, Moorer accepted Atlas' advice and agreed to retire and concentrate on training other fighters. A possible opponent of Moorer could be Kevin Rooney protégé, Thomas Hayes (22-1, 15 KO's). Should Moorer return to the ring, it would be the fastest 'comeback-retirement-comebacks' in recent memory.

Baldomir will face Judah

WBC #2 Carlos Baldomir of Argentina will be WBA/WBC/IBF Welterweight champ Zab Judah's next foe, September 30th in St Louis, Missouri. So far, 34-year-old Baldomir seemed to be destined to be only a perennial high ranked contender, as he has been during the last five years. Yet, after winning a unanimous decision over Mexican Miguel Angel Rodriguez last May 21st in Chicago in a WBC eliminator, Baldomir will now have his long awaited shot. Baldomir's (41-9-6, 12 KOs) last defeat was back in December 1998, when he dropped a decision against fellow compatriot Alberto de las Mercedes Cortes. After that, he won 17 fights and drew the other two.Currently, "El Tata" Baldomir is training in Los Angeles under the supervision of legendary trainer Amilcar Brusa. Baldomir will be joined by his trainer Jose Lemos on Wednesday. "This chance took me by surprise as I expected to fight for the title in November or December. However, I'll be ready 'cause I won't let this chance go. Lefthanders like Judah used to give me some trouble in the ring. But not anymore. Since I'm fighting in such a competitive market as the US you have to learn how to fight against any fighter and any style," said Baldomir on Monday to radio show "Ring Side en el Aire."
