Julio Cesar

Welterweight Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. (107-6-1, 88 KOs) said "adios" to Phoenix fight fans with a shocking loss to late sub Grover Wiley (30-6-1, 13 KOs) before 7,893 stunned onlookers Saturday night at America West Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. Julio called it quits after round five citing a broken right hand. After the fight, promoter Bob Arum stated that "boxing is a young man's game" adding that he felt "this should be it" for Julio. He also said he will match Julio Jr. against Grover Wiley in a revenge match on the November 12 Klitschko-Rahman card at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
