Former Australian heavyweight champion Bob Mirovic (25-15-2) will fight American Eric "Butterbean" Esch (71-5-4) at the Carrara Sports Complex, Carrara, Gold Coast, Qld, Australia on November 18th. Former world heavyweight contender Joe Bugner, 55 years, rejected a US$15,000 offer to fight Butterbean but stated he would consider fighting Butterbean for a purse of US$75,000. In Butterbean's most recent bout he lost to Kenny Craven (26-16) over four rounds in August. Mirovic lost a disputed split points decision to Bugner when he challenged for the Australian heavyweight title in 1998. Mirovic lost a disputed twelve round decision to former world ranked Timo Hoffman (31-3-1) in Zwickau, Germany in March 2005. In Mirovic's most recent bout he dropped a twelve round decision to American Rob Calloway (54-5-1) in june 2005 for the vacant WBF title. Mirovic suffered a broken jaw in that bout.
